Frequently Asked Questions
-
HOW LONG IS A SERVICE?Our service length varies but you can expect the 9am service to be around an hour in length and our 10.30am service to be between an hour and an hour and a half.
-
WHAT WILL MY CHILDREN DO?We have a children's area within the church (to the right of the alter) with some toys and space to move around during the main parts of our service. During the sermon and intercessions there are groups for varying ages that our young people leave to take part in. All of our volunteers have undergone the necessary safeguarding checks and are able to look after your children within the groups. But if you or your child feel more comfortable then you are more than welcome to stay with them in their group.
-
CAN I COME JUST AS I AM OR DO I NEED TO WEAR SOMETHING SPECIAL?Please come as you are! There isn't a dress code for church, contrary to the idea of 'Sunday Best' we just want you to be comfortable!
-
DO YOU HAVE A CAR PARK?Yes we do, but if it is full then there is usually space to park on the streets behind the church.
-
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?It would be sensible to arrive 5-10 minutes before the service starts so that you can get yourself parked (if you have driven) and settled in your seat in the congregation.
-
WHERE SHOULD I SIT?You can sit anywhere you like! At the 10.30am service there is a children's area (to the right of the alter) with toys and space to move around should you want to sit there with your child but there is no obligation to do so.
-
I HAVEN'T BEEN TO A SERVICE BEFORE, WHERE DO I GO WHEN I ARRIVE?"You will be greeted by one of our helpers at the front doors who will direct you towards the church for the service. You would then be more than welcome to stay for a coffee and a chat in the church halls afterwards.
-
WHAT IS CAFE CHURCH?Once a month (usually the second Sunday) we have an all age service cafe style. It is a very relaxed service with refreshments in the church throughout the service.
